What are "caps"?

In sports, a cap is a metaphorical term for a player's appearance in a game at international level. The term dates from the practice in the United Kingdom of awarding a cap to every player in an international match of association football. In the early days of football, the concept of each team wearing a set of matching shirts had not been universally adopted, so each side would distinguish itself from the other by wearing a specific sort of cap. So, in a nod to soccer history, at Club Collector, "caps" are our "currency" - think of them like coins or credits.

What can I do with my "caps"?

There are several ways you can utilize your caps on Club Collector:

• You can spend caps to buy various types of additional card packs
• You can include caps in card trades you make with other Club Collector owners
• You can use your caps to bid in card Auctions for special cards
• You can spend your caps on the Marketplace to buy for your collection

Can I trade cards with other owners?

Yes! Owners can trade Uncommon cards with other owners to build out their collections. Trading of Common cards is not available currently, as common cards are easily available to collect through packs.

To trade cards, go to the "Card Gallery" page, select the card and Uncommon rarity you are interested in trading for. You'll be able to see all the other owners who have that card and you can then make an offer to trade with them by clicking the "Trade" button.

I have a lot of duplicate cards. What can I do with them?

Once you start collecting many duplicate common cards, you can "upgrade". This means if you collect a lot of duplicates of one specific card, you will be able to "trade-in" a number of those duplicates for the next level rarity version of that card. Or you can trade in duplicates of several different cards for special Common and Uncommon upgrade packs.

• Four (4) common duplicates of the same card can be traded in for a Basic Pack.
• Eight (8) common duplicates of the same card can be traded in for a Limited Basic Pack.
• Twelve (12) common duplicates of the same card can be traded in for a version of that card in the Limited rarity version

• Ten (10) common duplicates of any number of cards can be traded in for a Basic Pack.
• Twenty (20) common duplicates of any number of cards can be traded in for a Limited Basic Pack.

What different pack types are available?

There are several different common pack types available:

In addition to these common pack types, there will also be "special pack" types available via special "pack codes" or other prize giveaways. The composition of these special packs will vary and will be announced when they are available.

What are the odds of receiving an Uncommon card in a pack?

Unless otherwise noted, the odds of receiving an Uncommon card in any pack are as follows:

• Limited - 22% (approximately 1 in 5)
• Rare - 10% (1 in 10)
• Wicked Rare - 2% (1 in 50)

What is the Marketplace?

The Club Collector Marketplace allows card owners to sell any Uncommon cards in their collection for caps. For sellers, the Marketplace is a great way to earn some additional caps by selling duplicate cards or cards you are not interested in owner. For buyers, the Marketplace is a great way to completely a set collection, or buy new players for the Matchday Competitions.

How does the Marketplace work?

As an owner, you can list any Uncommon cards you have in your collection for sale on the Marketplace. Just pick the price you want to sell the card for and list it on the Marketplace. Once listed, other owners can purchase the card from you for the listed price, or they can send you an offer for a lower price. Once a card is purchased, the seller will receive the caps and the buyer will receive the card. The seller will always have the option of accepting or declining any offers they recived on the cards they have listed in the Marketplace.

As a buyer, if you make an offer on a card in the Markeplace, the caps will be immediately removed from your account. If the seller decides to decline your offer or they decide to accept someone else's offer, the caps will then be returned to your account.

As a buyer, if a card you made an offer on is removed for sale from the Marketplace, you will receive back the caps you offered on the card.

Can I collect cards for other USL teams that I support?

Currently, Rhode Island FC is the only team that Club Collector has cards for. If you are a Supporter's Group or team representative for other teams in the USL (Championship, League One, League Two, W League, Super League, etc...) and would like to have cards created for your team, please contact us at moc.pparotcellocbulc@ofni to discuss setting up Club Collector for your club.
