In the second half of Matchday 31, with Rhode Island FC holding a 2-1 lead, the defensive duo of Koke Vegas and Grant Stoneman provided the Energy Play of the Game. Facing a Tampa Bay Rowdies attack up the right flank and deep on the endline, Vegas made an initial lunching stop of a low cross, forcing a Rowdie'a attacker airborne to avoid collision. With the deflected ball left spinning on the ground in the six-yard box, Stoneman quickly lept into action and cleared the ball to safety allowing RIFC to start the counter attack.
