A native of New York with Columbian heritage, Kevin Orduy became the first player in Rhode Island FC history to be signed to the club's roster under a USL Academy contract providing him the ability to train and compete with the first team while also maintaining amateur status and NCAA eligibility. Orduy originally was part of the Magdalena U20 academy in Columbia and most recently was on loan with the Rio Grand Valley Toros in 2023.
