With Rhode Island FC up 2-0 in the 88th minute on the road against Memphis 901 FC, Captain Koke Vegas became the first player in RIFC history to receive a straight red card in UFC history with an ill-advised challenge outside the box. Vegas chased after a long ball over the top, and ended up fouling the attacking Memphis player on a last-man challenge resulting in his dismissal from the match.
