In the 70th minute of Rhode Island FC's match against the Charleston Battery on April 6, 2024, Conor McGlynn received the first red card in RIFC club history for an aggressive challenge on a cold, rainy night. After picking up a first yellow card in the 22nd minute of the match, McGlynn picked up his second yellow resulting in a red and saw his night end early.
