After a pretty lackluster start to the first half, Clay Holstad took advantage of the large chunk of extra time, and injected live into the game with his goal in the 5th minute of extra time. Holstad collected a pass centrally, took one dribble, and then laid into a rocket of a shot to put Rhode Island FC up 1-0 just before halftime. Holstad was once again a RIFC workhorse, going the full 90 minutes in the central midfield.
