On Apri 4, 2025, Rio Hope-Gund became the first player in Rhode Island FC history to sign a 25-day player contract. After training with RIFC in the pre-season, Hope-Gund inked the deal with the club before Matchday 4 to help add some depth to a depleted defensive back line.
