Gabriel Alcides Alves, born on February 10, 2000, in São Paulo, Brazil, is a professional footballer known for his versatility as both a defender and midfielder. He embarked on his collegiate soccer career in the United States at Marshall University, playing for the Marshall Thundering Herd from 2020 to 2022. During his tenure, he made significant contributions, appearing in 52 matches and scoring two goals. His efforts were instrumental in Marshall winning the 2020 Conference USA Regular Season and the NCAA College Cup, marking a historic achievement for the team.
Transitioning to professional soccer, Alves signed with Birmingham Legion in the USL Championship in January 2023. He made his professional debut in March 2023, quickly making an impact by scoring his first professional goal later that month.
